Megan M. Cooper

A Story of Transformation and Hope

After enduring a decade in the sex industry, Megan M. Cooper found herself at a crossroads. It was during this challenging time that a volunteer from New Name, an anti-exploitation agency, reached out to her. Megan accepted the invitation to meet and embraced the opportunity to explore a new path centered on faith and redemption.

The journey wasn't easy. Megan faced difficulties in leaving behind the quick income and material comforts she had known. Each encounter chipped away at her sense of self-worth and identity. Additionally, she grappled with an alter ego, Carmen, which posed its own set of challenges. However, through her newfound faith in Jesus Christ, Megan began to experience a renewal of her mind and spirit, gradually breaking free from the bonds of her past.

Today, Megan Cooper is the founder of Woman at The Well Ministry and have authored her first book entitled, The Prostitute Whom Jesus Loved. She collaborates with New Name to visit and support women in strip clubs across Saint Louis, Chicago, and southern Wisconsin. Megan also dedicates her time to praying and evangelizing within homeless tent communities in Saint Louis. She leads women's groups at churches, focusing on important topics such as boundaries and spiritual growth in Christ. Additionally, she is part of a small group led by author Priscilla Lack, delving deeply into the workbook, "Unlocking the Wounded Heart."
